THE SHORT VERSION

The Wegovy pill is 25mg oral semaglutide, taken once daily on an empty stomach with water only. FDA-approved December 22, 2025, after the OASIS-4 trial showed 16.6% average weight loss at 64 weeks.

Doses step up roughly every 30 days to build tolerance before reaching the 25mg maintenance dose. Your prescriber may slow this down if side effects are hard to manage.

How to take it

H—01

Empty stomach

Take with up to 4oz (120mL) of plain water only, first thing — before food, drink, or other oral medications.

Wait 30 minutes

Don't eat, drink anything else, or take other pills for at least 30 minutes after your dose.

Same time, daily

One pill, once a day. Consistency matters more than the exact hour.

Don't split or crush

Swallow the tablet whole. Splitting, crushing, or chewing affects absorption.

Missed a dose?

Skip it if your next dose is close — don't double up. Ask your prescriber if you're unsure.

Storage

Keep below 86°F (30°C), in the original container, away from moisture.

Is the Wegovy pill the same as Rybelsus?Q—01 +
No. Rybelsus is oral semaglutide approved for type 2 diabetes, dosed up to 14mg. The Wegovy pill is a separate, higher 25mg oral semaglutide product FDA-approved in December 2025 specifically for chronic weight management.
How much does the Wegovy pill cost?Q—02 +
