Why this app exists

One injection a week sounds easy —until week nine, a holiday, a time zone

Most people do not quit GLP-1 therapy on purpose; the routine just erodes. This app is built to hold that routine, and nothing else.

Reminders

Three nudges,

Lock screen showing GLP1ShotDay reminder notifications

then it stops asking

A single alarm is easy to swipe away at 8:00 AM and forget by 8:04. GLP1ShotDay sends a day-before heads-up, an hour-before nudge, and a morning-of alert — then one quiet follow-up in the evening if nothing has been logged.

  • Nothing after you log. The moment the shot is recorded, the rest of the week goes silent.
  • Travel-aware. Change time zone and the schedule keeps your local morning, not the old one.
  • Lock Screen and Watch. Delivered as standard iOS notifications, so Focus modes still apply.
Logging

Four seconds,

Logging an injection: dose and site pre-filled
Screen 03 — Log a shotDose and site pre-filled/ios/img/03-log.png
start to finish

Logging is the part every tracker gets wrong. Dose is pre-filled from your schedule, site is pre-selected from the rotation, so the whole interaction is usually one tap on the confirm button. Everything stays editable forever.

  • Dose pre-filled from your titration plan — change it inline if your prescriber adjusted you.
  • Site pre-selected as the next one in the rotation. Override with one tap.
  • Optional notes — pen lot number, how it felt, whether it bled. Skippable every week.
  • Backdating for the week you forgot to open the app at all.
Site rotation

It remembers

Screen 04 — RotationSite map and history/ios/img/04-rotation.png
where you went last

Injecting the same spot week after week can cause lipohypertrophy — firm fatty lumps under the skin that also slow how the drug absorbs. Manufacturers say to rotate. Nobody remembers where they injected three Thursdays ago.

The map fills in as you log, greys out recently used spots, and highlights the next one. Abdomen, thigh or arm, left and right, tracked separately.

  • Next-site suggestion that follows the pattern you actually use, not a rigid preset.
  • Cooldown view so you can see at a glance which areas have had a rest.
  • The science behind rotation is written up in our research section.
Missed dose

You missed Thursday.

Now what?

This is the question the internet answers badly, because the answer depends on which molecule you are on. Semaglutide and tirzepatide have different catch-up windows in their official prescribing information, and the app knows which one you selected.

  • Ozempic and Wegovy — 5 days. Take it as soon as you remember, if you are still inside the window.
  • Mounjaro and Zepbound — 4 days. Same logic, shorter window.
  • Past the window, the app says skip and holds your normal day — it will not invent a schedule for you.
  • Always points to your prescriber for anything outside the label.
Change your day

Move the day

Changing your injection day with a minimum-gap check
Screen 06 — Change dayGap check before it commits/ios/img/06-change-day.png
without doing maths

Thursday stopped working. Maybe you started a new job, maybe Thursday nausea keeps eating your Fridays. Moving an injection day is allowed — but there is a minimum gap between doses, and it differs by molecule.

  • Semaglutide: at least 2 days between injections.
  • Tirzepatide: at least 3 days between injections.
  • Blocked days are greyed out — you cannot pick something the label does not allow.
  • Read more: changing your Ozempic day.
Titration

The dose ladder,

Titration plan showing each dose step
Screen 07 — TitrationYour prescriber's plan/ios/img/07-titration.png
laid out in advance

GLP-1 therapy starts low and steps up. The point of that slow climb is tolerability — going faster mostly buys you nausea, not results. But a schedule that lives on a sticky note is a schedule you will lose.

  • Any schedule. Standard 4-week steps, or the slower ladder your prescriber wrote for you.
  • Hold a dose for as long as you need without breaking the plan.
  • Dose changes are logged so the export shows exactly when you moved up.
  • Background reading: what the titration trials show.
Side effects

Nausea has

Side effects charted by day since injection
Screen 08 — Side effectsBy day since your shot/ios/img/08-side-effects.png
a shape

Tag how you feel and the app plots it against days-since-injection rather than calendar days. That single change turns a vague sense of feeling rough into something you can act on — most people find their symptoms cluster in a predictable two-day band.

  • Severity, not just yes or no — mild, moderate or bad, so an improving trend is visible.
  • Cross-referenced with dose steps, which is what a prescriber actually wants to know.
  • Injection-site reactions are tagged to the site, so a problem area stands out.
  • Also available as a standalone side-effect tracker.
Body composition

The scale number

Body composition chart: weight, fat mass and lean mass
Screen 09 — CompositionWeight, fat and lean mass/ios/img/09-composition.png
is not the whole story

Weight loss on GLP-1 therapy includes some lean mass, not just fat — that is one of the most discussed findings in the research, and it is the reason protein intake and resistance training keep coming up.

If your scale reports body fat and lean mass, GLP1ShotDay tracks all three lines together, so you can see whether what you are losing is what you wanted to lose.

  • Fat mass, lean mass and body fat percentage plotted alongside total weight.
  • Recomposition view — the weeks where weight barely moved but composition did.
  • Share card for progress you actually want to post, with numbers you choose to include.
  • Context: what the lean mass data show.
Apple Health & scales

Stop retyping numbers

Apple Health and smart scale connections screen

off a bathroom scale

Step on a smart scale, and the weight, body fat percentage and lean mass are already in the app by the time you have dried your feet. GLP1ShotDay reads from Apple Health rather than talking to each scale brand directly, which means anything that writes to Health works — Withings, Renpho, Eufy, Garmin and the rest.

  • Category-by-category permission. Nothing is read unless you switch it on.
  • Up to 12 months of history imports on first sync, so your chart does not start empty.
  • Fully optional. Type the numbers by hand and the app works exactly the same.
  • Details: Apple Health and smart scale sync.
Your data

Comes in,and goes out freely

A tracker you cannot leave is a trap. Bring your history in from another app, take it out as a doctor-ready PDF, and keep the whole thing in an account you control.

Health datais not a growth channel

Your log lives in your own account and syncs across your devices — we do not sell it, share it, or hand it to advertisers. Sign in with Apple if you would rather not give us an email at all.

Apple Health access is opt-in per category and can be revoked from iOS Settings at any time. Export is always available — leaving with your full history is a supported action, not a support ticket.

Questions

The things peopleactually ask

Is it on the App Store yet?+
Yes — GLP1ShotDay is live now on the App Store for iPhone. Download it today and start your free 3-day trial.
Which medications does it support?+
Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Victoza and Trulicity, plus compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide and any custom weekly injectable you add yourself. Dose rules are applied per molecule, not per brand name.
Does it really track body fat and lean mass?+
If your scale measures them and writes to Apple Health, yes — body fat percentage and lean mass are charted alongside total weight. If your scale only reports weight, that single line still works fine. Bioimpedance scales are estimates, not DEXA scans, so treat the trend as more meaningful than any single reading.
Can I move my history over from another tracker?+
Yes. CSV import covers Shotsy, MeAgain and any spreadsheet, and Apple Health brings up to twelve months of weight history on first sync. Imported injections count toward your on-time record, so switching apps does not reset your streak.
Does the app tell me what dose to take?+
No, and it never will. It holds the plan your prescriber gave you and reminds you when the next step is due. Missed-dose windows and minimum gaps come from the official prescribing information for each molecule — the app repeats them, it does not decide them. Anything outside the label goes to your prescriber.
What happens to my data if I stop using it?+
Export everything as PDF and CSV, then delete the account. We do not sell or share health data, and Apple Health permissions can be revoked from iOS Settings independently of anything you do in the app.

Your next shot,on time.
