Q & A

How do I know when to go up a dose?Q—01 +
The label schedule moves every 4 weeks. Your prescriber may hold you at a lower dose longer if side effects haven't settled — increases aren't automatic just because time has passed.
What if a dose doesn't agree with me?Q—02 +
Both labels allow delaying the next increase by an extra 4 weeks at any step if side effects, especially nausea or vomiting, aren't tolerable.
Is Wegovy dosed the same as Ozempic?Q—03 +
No. Both are semaglutide, but Wegovy's maintenance dose is 2.4mg for weight management, while Ozempic tops out at 2mg for type 2 diabetes. They're not interchangeable.
What if I miss a dose during titration?Q—04 +
If it's been less than 5 days, take it as soon as you remember. If it's been longer, skip it and take your next dose on the regular day — check current label guidance with your pharmacist.
Do I stay on the top dose forever?Q—05 +
The final step is a maintenance dose meant to continue for as long as you and your prescriber decide to continue treatment.
